Create Rules Using Quantity and Amount Attributes

Create rules using quantity and amount criteria to clean up or normalize the data, or make classification assignments. You can set up new business rules using quantity and amount attributes to create conditions that can determine the assignment of predicted classification categories or be used to organize spend data.

The addition of quantity and amount as attributes for creating rule conditions provides increased flexibility to data analysts working to improve the accuracy of their spend data.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Access Requirements

Users who have access to Spend Classification do not require any additional setups to make use of this new feature.

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

  • Administer Spend Classification Application (POI_ADMINISTER_SPEND_CLASSIFICATION_PRIV)
  • Manage Spend Classification Batch (POI_MANAGE_SPEND_CLASSIFICATION_BATCH_PRIV)
  • View Spend Classification Work Area (POI_SPEND_CLASSIFICATION_WORKAREA_PRIV)
