IMPORTANT Actions and Considerations
Changes to Home Page Display for Redwood-Related Purchasing Pages
In Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement Update 25C, we are changing how the quick actions and the app icon (or “Springboard tile”) for Purchasing-related Redwood pages are displayed on the home page. This improves the ease of access to these Redwood pages and no longer requires you to create a custom role to use the quick actions and app icon.
What is changing?
Beginning with Update 25C, the quick actions and the app icon for the features below will be visible when you enable the associated profile option and the user has the corresponding work area privilege. You'll no longer need to assign the Manage Purchase Orders Using a Redwood Page privilege to a custom role to use the quick actions and app icon.
Below are the profile options and privilege details for each feature:
Feature: Redwood: Navigate to Tasks and View Key Performance Indicators Using the Purchasing Landing Page
Quick Action/App Icon: Purchasing app icon
Profile Option: Redwood Page for Purchasing Overview Enabled
Privilege: View Purchase Order Work Area or View Purchase Agreement Work Area
Feature: Redwood: Manage Purchase Orders
Quick Action/App Icon: Purchase Orders (New) quick action
Profile Option: Redwood Page for Purchase Orders Enabled for Purchasing
Privilege: Search Purchase Order
Feature: Redwood: Search and Process Requisition Lines Using a Redwood Page
Quick Action/App Icon: Process Requisitions (New) quick action
Profile Option: Redwood Page for Process Requisitions Enabled for Purchasing
Privilege: Process Requisition Line
Feature: Search for Purchase Agreements Using a Redwood Page
Quick Action/App Icon: Purchase Agreements (New) quick action
Profile Option: Redwood Manage Agreements Enabled
Privilege: Search Purchase Agreement
What are my immediate actions?
No further actions are required if you have enabled the associated Redwood profile option and your users are ready to access the Redwood pages. Users with access to the existing Manage Purchase Orders, Manage Purchase Agreements, or Process Requisitions pages will also have access to their corresponding Redwood pages.
If you wish to limit visibility of quick actions and page entry to a subset of users, you can configure the quick actions and page entry in the Structure work area using the following steps:
- Activate a sandbox using the Structure tool
- Open Navigator > Configuration > Structure
- On the Navigation Configuration page, configure quick actions by clicking Procurement and the Quick Actions tab
- Configure the page entry by clicking the arrow by Procurement
- Edit the EL expression in the Visible field, and include an expression to check for your custom role (Examples of EL Expressions)
