Notify Users About Supply Disruptions
Use Oracle Supply Chain Orchestration to send alerts to supply chain users when supply disruptions occur. Users can use the alerts to take action and resolve the disruptions. Set up your own rule to route an alert to a specific user.
Realize these benefits:
- Send timely alerts to the user who can take the most effective action.
- Minimize disruptions to make sure you can fulfil supply requests in a timely way.
Send an alert for various disruptions, such as:
- Supply shortage
- Supply is cancelled
- Supply date pushed out or pulled in
- Functional or technical error while creating supply
Supply Chain Orchestration will notify these users:
- Supply Chain Operations Manager who manages supply
- User who requested supply, such as Order Manager, Inventory Manager, or Production Supervisor.
In this example, a supply chain manager can click the bell to view the alert:

Steps to Enable
The application that sends the notification doesn't have the rule you need, so you must add it.
- Go to the Setup and Maintenance work area, click Tasks > Search, then search for and open Manage Task Configurations for Supply Chain Management.
- Search for and open SupplyExceptionNotifyTask.
- Click Assignees, click Stage1.Participant1, then click SupplyNotificationRules.
- Use one of the attributes in your business rule.
You can use these attributes for the Notification Rule Header:
