Get Specific Search Results for Number-Based Attributes
Get specific search results for number-based attributes on both Shopping Search and My Requisitions pages.
On the Shopping Search page, the keyword you enter will be matched against these attributes and if there are exact matches, those results will be retrieved:
- Item Number
- Manufacturer Part Number
- Supplier Part Number (includes the one specified on a blanket agreement)
- Agreement Number
- GTIN
Similarly, on the My Requisitions page, these attributes will be matched:
- Manufacturer Part Number
- Supplier Part Number
With this feature, partial matches to the keyword (when matched to any of these number-based attributes) aren't returned.
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.
Offering: Procurement
If you want to use the Get Specific Search Results for Number-Based Attributes feature, then you must opt in to one or both of these features:
- Enable the Redwood Version as the Default Self Service Procurement Application: Makes the Purchase Requisitions (New) work area available to all your users, and hides the Purchase Requisitions work area from all your users.
- Procure Goods and Services Using the Redwood Self Service Procurement Application: Keeps the Purchase Requisitions work area available to all your users, and makes the Purchase Requisitions (New) work area available to the users who are assigned this privilege: Manage Requisition with the Redwood Self Service Procurement Application (POR_MANAGE_REQ_WITH_PWA_PRIV).
If you’ve already opted in, then you don’t have to opt in again.
Tips And Considerations
- This feature is only applicable for catalog shopping and doesn't apply to extended contracts or marketplace searches.
- When you search using a partial keyword, all results that begin with that keyword will be returned. For example, if you input the string "101," the search will yield matches based on number-based attributes listed in the feature description, such as 10130304, 101-SPN01, and so on.
Key Resources

NOTE: This privilege isn’t required if you have opted in to the Enable the Redwood Version as the Default Self Service Procurement Application feature to access the Redwood Self Service Procurement application.
This privilege was available prior to this update.
