Enhance Contract Request User Experience

The manage contract requests feature released in 24D is enhanced to include the following capabilities:

  1. Contract request names can now begin with number
  2. Users have the ability to cancel contract requests
  3. The Party Name, Assignee, and Owner fields now display additional relevant details
  4. A new validation rule prevents the same person from being both the requester and assignee for a request
  5. The system now captures and records status change details for each contract request
  6. Contract request approval notification is enhanced

1. Contract request names can now begin with number, providing more flexibility in naming convention.

2. If the contract request is no longer required, it can be cancelled from the contract request landing page. The option to cancel the request is allowed only in the Draft, In Review and Waiting for Information statuses. 

  • Only users with the privilege 'Cancel contract request' will be able to see this smart action. 
  • Requester and Owner can cancel the request in Draft status. 
  • Requester, Owner and Assignee can cancel the request in In-Review or Waiting for Information statuses
  • Once a request is marked as 'Cancelled,' it is considered final, and users will not be able to make any further modifications to it

3. The 'Party Name' field shows both the party's name and their associated party number. Meanwhile, the 'Assignee' and 'Owner' fields display the primary email address along with the individual's name.

4. A user may have both the requester and assignee roles. However, for the purposes of a specific contract request, certain restrictions apply:

  1. A user can't be both the requester and assignee for the same request
  2. A user can't be simultaneously an owner and an assignee for the same request
  3. If the contract request is assigned to a resource organization, and if the requester or owner are part of that organization, for the specific request, the user will be considered a Requester or Owner for that specific request

6. The basic contract request approval notification is replaced with a detailed notification based on a BIP template. It displays all the information from the contract request. Both the workflow and the email notifications can be customized.

3. Body Customization

  • Add or removing attributes to the report including standard attributes, app composer attributes, custom child objects of contract request, attributes from other contract tables or cross-pillar tables
  • Add new columns to the existing tables in the report

Hide Approve, Reject and Request for Information links from BIP Emails

5. Footer links Customization

Remove link to the Contract UI

6. Style Customizations
Styling the report with different fonts, colors, field position and size changes
