Redwood: Procure Configured Items to Fulfill Sales Orders
Create and manage purchase orders in Redwood for configured items originating from a sales order. This enables both buyers and suppliers to view the details of the configured item, including the option classes, options, and subassemblies that make up the configured item. Also, you can use blanket purchase agreements to price the models and options comprising the configuration.
You can view configuration details while performing these tasks in the Redwood application:
- Searching for purchase order schedules
- Viewing purchase orders and change orders for configured items
- Acknowledging POs and COs for configured items
In addition, buyers will be able to make price changes to configuration details when editing an incomplete PO and both buyers and suppliers will be able to make price changes to configuration details as part of a change order. Lastly, suppliers will be able to propose price changes to configuration details while acknowledging a PO or CO for a configured item.
These screen captures help illustrate this feature.
When viewing purchase orders for configurations, an icon will appear next to the schedule description that indicates that purchase order line is for a configured item. Clicking this icon will launch the configuration details window so that buyers and suppliers can view the details of the configured item.

Steps to Enable
Refer to the Steps to Enable section of the Redwood: Create and Edit Purchase Orders to Fulfill Sales Orders feature in this document.
Tips And Considerations
- When accessing the configuration details on an editable page (such as the Edit Purchase Order or Edit Change Order pages), the purchase order will be saved before the drawer opens. If you then Cancel the purchase order to exit the page, any changes you made prior to accessing the drawer will remain.
- Just like in the classic UI, you can only edit the base model price, the total number of configurations requested, and the component price. The total configuration price is calculated by the application and is read-only.
