Redwood: Access Any Document Directly from the Purchasing Landing Page

Search for a specific document, such as a purchase order, purchase agreement, or requisition, from the Purchasing landing page. Use this feature when you need to access a document that doesn't appear under your recent documents list.

When you access the landing page, you'll see a new region called "Quick access".

This region allows you to search for purchase orders, purchase agreements, and purchase requisitions.

List of Object Types

Here's the list of parameters that are supported for each object type and where the navigation takes you:

  • Orders
    • Search by purchase order number or supplier.
    • Selecting a specific purchase order will navigate you directly to that order. If you don't choose a specific order, you will be taken to the Purchase Orders search page.
  • Agreements
    • Search by purchase agreement number or supplier.
    • Selecting a specific agreement will navigate you directly to that agreement. If you don't choose a specific agreement, you will be taken to the Purchase Agreements search page.
  • Requisitions
    • Search by requisition number or preparer name.
    • Selecting a specific requisition will navigate you directly to that requisition. If you don't choose a specific requisition, you will be taken to the Purchase Requisitions search page.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Access Requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges can access this feature:

  • Search Purchase Order (PO_SEARCH_PURCHASE_ORDER_PRIV). This allows users to see Orders as an Object Type.
  • View Purchase Order (PO_VIEW_PURCHASE_ORDER_PRIV). This allows users to navigate to a specific Purchase Order.
  • Search Purchase Agreement (PO_SEARCH_PURCHASE_AGREEMENT_PRIV). This allows users to see Agreements as an Object Type.
  • View Purchase Agreement (PO_VIEW_PURCHASE_AGREEMENT_PRIV). This allows users to navigate to a specific Purchase Agreement.
  • Search Requisition Lines as Buyer (POR_SEARCH_REQUISITION_LINE_AS_BUYER_PRIV). This allows users to see Requisitions as an Object Type.
  • View Requisition Details as Buyer (POR_VIEW_REQUISITION_DETAILS_AS_BUYER_PRIV). This allows users to navigate to a specific Purchase Requisition.
