Purge Plan Messages Automatically
Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning generates messages that alert you to issues with the input data used to generate the plan, such as missing values for key attributes required for accurate planning. The volume of these messages could be substantial, and, in most instances, only the messages from the recent past are useful. This update enables you to automatically purge messages and retain only the messages for the current and previous plan runs so that you’re looking at only the messages that are most relevant.
You can also use this feature to compare messages between the current and prior runs.
By default, plan messages are retained for the current plan run and preceding run (that is, the last two runs).
Steps to Enable

When determining the number of most recent plan runs for retaining plan messages, we use these conditions:
Condition | Results |
---|---|
Plan messages were generated. |
The plan run is included in the count. |
The plan wasn't run with current data. |
The plan run won’t be included in the count even if messages were generated. For the plan run to be included in the count, the plan must be run with current data. |
The plan status is Error. |
The plan run won’t be included in the count. Only plan runs that ended in the Completed or Warning status are included in the count. |
Plan messages from all runs that aren’t covered by the count are purged regardless of the status or run type.
