Report Orderless Transactions and Returns Using Industrial Handheld Devices
In high volume, lean environments, operators must efficiently report production completions without slowing down for administrative tasks. You can now report orderless completions, return, scrap, or return from scrap transactions using an industrial handheld device that uses barcode scanning from the Production Reporting page.
For Scrap and Return from Scrap, you need to provide a reason code. For serialized production, you can select a serial number to complete. You can also provide transaction notes and select the option to print the label.

Material Issue During an Orderless Transaction
Production reporting without work order processing allows operators to quickly report product completions and returns.
Steps to Enable and Configure
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
The following considerations apply when reporting orderless transactions using handheld devices:
- You can perform orderless transactions in a manufacturing plant using a discrete manufacturing work definition for standard items.
- You can't report orderless transactions in a contract manufacturing plant, for configured items, for supplier operations, or using process manufacturing and flow manufacturing work definitions.
- You cannot add any new material while issuing materials.
- Resource transaction details are not displayed. Resources are charged at standard rate based on the work definition.
- Descriptive flexfields for item/lot/serial are not supported.
You can also report orderless transactions using the Redwood UI, Material Transaction Web Service, or the Import Material Transaction file-based import process.
