IMPORTANT Actions and Considerations

Check for Redwood Pages That Are Enabled by Default

Some Redwood pages might be enabled by default in this update. For details, check these resources:

  • SCM Redwood Pages with Profile Options: This article includes an attached list of the SCM Redwood pages that are controlled by profile options. Check the Default On Release column to find out which pages are enabled by default in an update.
  • Features with Opt-In Expiration: This page lists opt-in features and identifies the update in which each feature will be enabled by default. SCM Redwood feature names are prefaced by "Redwood."

If a Redwood page that's controlled by a profile option is enabled by default in an update, you can change the profile option setting to revert to the classic version of the page if you're not ready to move to the Redwood version of the page.

Create and Manage Discrete Manufacturing Work Definitions for Engineer to Order Items with the Redwood User Experience

You can now create, edit, view, and manage work definitions for Engineer to Order (ETO) items using the Redwood user experience. An ETO item is typically designed and engineered based on customer requirements that drive unique item structures and work definitions. Like a configured item, an ETO item has a structure item type of standard and the base model is populated with the corresponding Assemble to Order (ATO) model, but the Autocreated Configuration is disabled. Unlike a configured item where the item structure and work definition are dynamically generated by the application, an ETO item allows creation and editing of its item structure and work definition. This type of discrete manufacturing work definition provides the flexibility to make nonstandard product configuration changes that are unique to a customer order or project.
