Apply Overridden Price List's Currency to Items

If you override the price list for an item, then Oracle Pricing will apply the override currency to the item.

Realize these benefits:

  • You no longer have to manually override the currency when the price list is in a currency that's different from the override currency.
  • You no longer have to customize a pricing algorithm to automatically apply the override currency.

In prior updates, you might encounter a problem when you attempt to override the price list's currency. Beginning in update 26A, if the pricing strategy allows the override, then you will no longer encounter this problem.

Assume the price list is in the USD currency and you override it to the RMB currency. Pricing will now automatically use RMB.

Steps to Enable and Configure

Tips And Considerations

  • Consider whether you need to override the price list's currency when you price the item.  If you do, and if you use your price list in more than one currency, then you can use this feature to simplify how you price the item at run time.
  • If you modified a pricing algorithm so it automatically changed the currency before this update, then you can remove that modification.
