Calculate the Costs of Standard Costed Configured Items On Demand
You can now calculate and publish the costs of all your configured items, even if those items don't have a new work order or purchase order in the application, if you use the standard cost method to value your inventory.
When you create a cost scenario of configured items with rollup scope set to All Items, the Roll up Costs scheduled process will roll up the costs of all configured items in the application that've:
- Positive on-hand quantity at the time of roll up, or
- Existing work order that isn't closed or cancelled (for make configured items), or
- Existing purchase order that isn't closed or canceled (for buy configured items)

Cost Scenario of Type Configured Items with All Items Rollup Scope
When the Roll up Costs process is complete, you'll be able to validate the costs of these configured items on the Rolled-up Costs page or the Cost Rollup Report or the predefined OTBI reports.
Some of the benefits of this feature include:
- Increase accuracy of configured products costs by including the latest component costs and resource rates.
- Improve efficiency by establishing costs of your configured products without depending on external orders.
- Increase productivity by eliminating accounting variances due to stale costs.
