Reverse Operation Completions, Rejections, and Scrap Using Industrial Handheld Devices

In a prior release, operators can report operation transactions with the quantity completed, rejected, and scrapped for a work order operation using an industrial handheld device optimized for barcode scanning and efficient task completion. You can now reverse the operation quantity reported using mobile production reporting to correct clerical errors. You can also access Mobile Manufacturing UIs from Quick Actions under Production Reporting.

Provide Reversal Details

Manufacturers can now enable a mobile only user experience for operators to perform production reporting and correct errors in reported quantities, improving data accuracy and productivity.

Steps to enable and configure

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips and considerations

Note the following when reversing operation transactions using handheld devices:

  • Inspection plans are not considered during operation transactions.
  • Descriptive flexfields for item/lot/serial are not supported.

Access requirements

Users who are assigned a configured job role that contains these privileges and codes can access this feature:

  • Manage Production Reporting Work Area (WIP_MANAGE_PRODUCTION_REPORTING_ WORK_AREA)
    This privilege allows access to the Production Reporting work area to report production transactions using handheld devices and is a new privilege in this update.
    Roles mapped to this privilege - Production Operator.
  • Report Operation Transactions (WIP_REPORT_OPERATION_TRANSACTIONS_PRIV)
    These privileges were available prior to this update.
