Use Collaboration Messaging in Redwood experience with classic flows

Use this feature to access Collaboration Messaging from Redwood pages while continuing to use the classic configuration model and processing flows.

When enabled, administrators will continue performing Collaboration Messaging setup, administration, and message exchange tasks using the same model and processing behavior they use today. The primary change is the user experience, delivered through Oracle's modern Redwood design and navigation patterns. The redesigned user experience allows organizations to adopt Redwood with minimal disruption to existing administration processes.

This approach allows organizations to:

• Adopt the Redwood user experience without changing existing Collaboration Messaging processes.
• Reduce the learning curve for administrators who are familiar with the classic interface.
• Benefit from a modern user experience that's consistent across Oracle Fusion Applications and enhanced through ongoing improvements.

Steps to enable and configure

After enabling this feature, you'll notice the following enhancements to the Collaboration Messaging experience:

1. Landing page – The new page provides an overview of messaging activity, including inbound and outbound document processing, message status, and processing results.

2. Actions – The panel provides quick access to the Collaboration Messaging tasks you're already familiar with, allowing you to launch them directly from the landing page.

3. In-app Navigation Bar – The bar groups related Collaboration Messaging tasks, making it easier to move between functional areas without returning to the landing page.

1. • Select Home to return to the Collaboration Messaging landing page.
   • Select Definitions to launch the Message Definitions page, where Collaboration Message Definitions and External Message Definitions are organized into separate tabs.

1. • Select Service Providers to launch the B2B Service Providers page.
   • Select Trading Partners to launch the B2B Trading Partners page.
   • Select Application Partners to launch the Supplier, Customer, and Customer Account configuration pages from a single location.

3. • • From the Supplier B2B Configuration tab, you can access the Messaging Account Numbers page.

You can launch Messaging Account Numbers or Messaging Location Codes directly from the actions on the landing page.

3. • Select History to launch Collaboration Messaging History, where you can review processed messages and launch the Validate Outbound and Validate Inbound Messaging pages.

1. You can launch Validate Outbound Messaging, Validate Inbound Messaging, Messaging Certificates, and Collaboration Messaging Setup Data Import directly from the actions on the landing page.
2. You can launch Manage Collaboration Messaging Configuration from Setup and Maintenance.

Tips and considerations

• If you're currently using the classic Collaboration Messaging flows, enabling this feature doesn't require migrating your Collaboration Messaging setup or configuration data. Existing setup, administration, and message processing will continue to be used, while only the user experience changes.
• The classic Redwood experience and the Simplified Configuration model use different configuration models, and only one experience can be enabled at a time. If the Simplified Configuration model is already enabled, disable it before enabling the classic Redwood experience.

Note: The Simplified Configuration model is enabled by the Simplify Configuration and Processing for B2B Messaging feature.

• The classic experience will continue to evolve over time with additional user experience enhancements and key Collaboration Messaging capabilities introduced through future updates as part of Oracle's ongoing Redwood adoption strategy.

Access requirements

If you're using custom job roles, then you need to add privileges identified as new in this update as well as validate that you have the previously delivered privileges listed.
