Retain user-entered purchase order line prices during retroactive pricing when the associated blanket purchase agreement line allows price override.

Previously, when blanket purchase agreement line prices were updated and the Initiate Retroactive Price Update scheduled process was run, the application updated the prices of all purchase order lines sourced from the agreement lines. As a result, buyer-entered purchase order line prices were overwritten, even when the associated agreement line allowed price overrides.

With this enhancement, retroactive pricing evaluates the Allow Price Override setting on the associated agreement line. If a buyer has overridden the purchase order line price and the agreement line allows price override, retroactive pricing retains the buyer-entered price. If the purchase order line price hasn't been overridden, or the associated agreement line doesn't allow price override, retroactive pricing updates the purchase order line price to the latest agreement line price.

You can use this feature with standard and configure-to-order purchase orders.

Tips and considerations

• For configure-to-order purchase orders, retroactive pricing considers the price manually overridden when the buyer changes either the base model price or an option or configuration item price.
• Retroactive pricing supports only blanket purchase agreement lines with noncumulative price breaks.
• Retroactive pricing doesn't update purchase order lines with discounts and doesn't support rate-based or fixed price services purchase order lines.
• If the revised agreement line price already matches the current purchase order line price, retroactive pricing doesn't create a purchase order revision for that line because no effective price change exists.
