Revert Mass Update

Users can now revert changes implemented through a mass update job.

Key Benefits to your business include:

•Reduce the time and effort authors would spend undoing a job.

•Safeguard your content and minimize the risk of human error when running a job on a large set of documents.

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

The revert job follows the same versioning rules as a manual revert. The resulting version after a revert has a new version number, while the content and metadata are from a previous version.

Revert can be performed on all updates except publish and unpublish, update Business Units, and revert.

Revert uses the settings of the original mass update being reverted.

The revert job does not include skipped or failed articles in the original mass update.

Access Requirements

The user running the revert job must have the CREATE_MASS_UPDATE permission.

If the revert is being run by anyone other than the user who ran the original job, the user must also have the CSO_ADMINISTER_KNOWLEDGE permission.

Additionally, if the job contains a Replace Content update, the user will need the GLOBAL_SEARCH_AND_REPLACE permission.
