Tips And Considerations

Authors will need to use the new Search Source Code pill to filter content based on text in their articles' source code. Searching in the source always uses exact matching functionality.

Access Requirements

There are three permissions a user will need to update the source content of multiple articles.

1. CSO_CREATE_KNOWLEDGE_MASS_UPDATES

Without this permission, an author will not  see the Mass Updates button on the UI

2. CSO_REPLACE_TEXT_IN_KNOWLEDGE_ARTICLES_VIA_MASS_UPDATES

Without this permission, an author will not see the job option, Replace Content, on the first page of the guided process that walks you through creating a mass update.

3. ACCESS_SOURCE_MODE

Without this permission, an author will not see the toggle button on the Find and Replace page indicating that the author wants to replace in source.
