Use keyboard shortcuts to save time and efforts when using common SmartActions and commands

Keyboard Shortcuts for many common actions and commands are now available to all users of Redwood Service Center and Redwood Case Management applications. The shortcuts available in this initial release of Keyboard Shortcuts include SmartActions like Start Conversation, Create Task, Create Appointment, Assign to Me, Compose Note, Add Document, Create Service Request, Create Case, and Create Contact, as well the Save command in common text editors.

Hotkeys save your Service Agents and Case Workers time and effort when they want to run common SmartActions or commands.  

Steps to Enable

You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

Hotkeys are available for in the following Redwood pages:

  • Case Management: Case Details, Case Create, Case Copy.
  • Service Center: Service Request Foldout, Service Request Details, Service Request Create.

Hotkeys supported in this release include:

  • Command+1: Start Conversation
  • Command+2: Create Task
  • Command+3: Create Appointment
  • Command+4: Assign to Me
  • Command+5 Compose Note
  • Command+6: Add Attachment/Document
  • Command+S: Save (in most forms and text editors)
  • Command+E: Create Service Request
  • Command+C: Create Case
  • Command+A: Create Contact

'Command' refers to the following key combination for operating system and browser:

  • Macintosh/Chrome: Control + Option + [Key]
  • Macintosh/Firefox: Control + [Key]
  • Windows/Chrome: Alt + Shift + [Key]
  • Windows/Firefox: Alt + Ctrl + [Key]
