Customer Portal: SSO Support for CP Admin login

In Release 25B, SSO login is introduced for CP Admin accounts, providing enhanced security and simplified access to the ci/admin area. Admins can optionally configure IdP providers for SSO login, improving the flexibility and security of the authentication process.

Previously, in the .NET profile permissions designer, options like CP Stage, CP Promote, and CP Edit Access were disabled from being checked when SSO login was enabled. With this enhancement, CP Admins can now configure these options to provide SSO login access to the ci/admin area and allow access based on the permissions set for Stage, Promote, and Edit.

Steps to Enable

Upgrade to CP3.11 and CX version 25B.

Access Requirements

The profile must have .NET Profile Designer access to grant permission for using the Customer Portal APIs.
The account used to access the CP ci/admin area must have SSO Login permission and the appropriate CP Edit/Promote/Stage permissions.
