Manage Grievances and Disciplinary Actions with Case Management
Cases now include prebuilt data models for managing grievances and disciplinary actions, based upon real-world implementations and prepopulated with commonly-used values.
Data Model for Grievance Cases
Data Model for Disciplinary Action Cases
The prebuilt data models for grievances and disciplinary actions are best-practice templates that simplify the setup and configuration process for implementers. These data models also establish a standardized pattern for implementors to add additional models for other use-cases.
Steps to Enable
The data models for Grievances and Disciplinary Actions are disabled by default. They are enabled by Profile Option in Setup & Maintenance (under the 'Manage Case Profile Options' Task):
- Grievance: set ORA_SVC_CASE_ENABLE_GRVNC_FORM to 'Yes'
- Disciplinary Actions: set ORA_SVC_CASE_ENABLE_DA_FORM to 'Yes'
Tips And Considerations
- Cases with the corresponding Case Type ('Grievance' or 'Disciplinary Action') will display the extended data models for that Type. No other Case types show the extended data models.
- Values in LOVs can be configured using the 'Manage Standard Lookups' Task in Setup & Maintenance:
-
Lookup Type

ORA_SVC_CASE_REVIEWED_BY_CD Reviewed By ORA_SVC_CASE_MEASURES_TAKEN_CD Measures Taken ORA_SVC_CASE_INCIDENT_TYPE_CD Incident Type ORA_SVC_CASE_FILED_BY_TYPE_CD Filed By Type ORA_SVC_CASE_CNTRBTNG_FCTRS_CD Contributing Factors ORA_SVC_CASE_COMPLAINT_TYPE_CD Complaint Type ORA_SVC_CASE_ALLEGATION_CD Allegation - In addition, 'Filed by Type' and 'Contributing Factors' values can be mapped to specific Case Types using the 'Manage Case Filed By Type' and 'Manage Case Contributing Factors' Tasks

- The fields in the extended data models are not available for reporting in OTBI (this is planned for a future release).
