Oracle Fusion Field Service-Specific Fields of User and Resource
With the 26A update, an enhancement is introduced to update specific fields of User and Resource APIs. In Fusion Field Service, when an API request is sent to update a user or field resource, only certain fields are allowed to be changed and included in the request.
- For the API operation "Update a user" only these fields can be changed:
- longDateFormat
- selfAssignment
- organizationalUnit
- resources
- userType
- weekStart
- For the API operation "Update a resource", if it is related to a field resource, only the following fields can be present in the request:
- durationStatisticsInitialPeriod
- durationStatisticsInitialRatio
- organization
- parentResourceId
- resourceType
- Any custom property
Leveraging the Core API to manage users and field resources empowers the organization to streamline operations, eliminate manual administrative overhead, and ensure accurate, up-to-date workforce data. This drives faster onboarding, more effective resource allocation, and improved field service performance, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency and supporting strategic business objectives.
