Configurable Retrieval of Characteristic Values for Calculation Rule Eligibility Evaluation

A new configuration option, Char Value Evaluation Option, on a rate calculation rule allows you to define how to retrieve a specific characteristic type's value when evaluating a rule's eligibility. You can select to retrieve the value created from earlier rate calculation rules, from the specified entity's characteristic collection (such as, service point), or both. Previously, the characteristic value created from earlier rate calculation rules was given precedence.

This provides additional flexibility to evaluate the eligibility of a rate calculation rule.

Steps to Enable

To enable and configure this feature on applicable rate calculation rules, configure the Char Value Evaluation Option configuration option to the appropriate value based on your implementation's requirements for selecting the applicable characteristic value for eligibility evaluation.
