Oracle Field Service Integration - Support for Recording Attachments in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage

In this release, photographs captured by the Oracle Field Service Mobile Application are recorded as attachments to an Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service activity and are automatically loaded into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage. On completion of the activity, a service history is created in Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service with references to the photographs in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage.

This reduces the volume of attachment data passed between Oracle Field Service, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service.

Steps to Enable

To enable this feature, complete these steps:

  1. In Oracle Field Service, specify the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage environment to be used. Refer to the Additional OFS Configurations section of the Oracle Field Service Configurations for Oracle Work and Asset Cloud Service Integration to Oracle Field Service Setup Guide for more information.
  2. In Oracle Integration Cloud, specify how the reference will be recorded in Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service. Refer to the Configuring Lookups, Error Handling, and Email Notifications section of the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Cloud Service Integration to Oracle Field Service Configuration Guide for more information.
