Low-to-Moderate Income Insight Support

You can receive and process low-to-moderate income (LMI) affordability information from external sources using configurable Customer Profiles to support customer assistance and affordability programs.  The Customer Profile Business Flag Upload (C1-CPRUP) background process reads an LMI affordability file in the supported file format and creates Customer Profile Business Flag records using the base product-owned Customer Profile Business Flag (C1-CustomerProfBusinessFlag) business object. The business object lifecycle processes those records to create or update the corresponding Customer Profiles and Customer Profile Attributes, including the LMI switch and associated selection reasons.

The release also includes:

  • Low-to-Moderate Income Account (C1-LMI-BADGE) insight type: Identifies accounts that are likely to be low-to-moderate income (LMI) based on active Customer Profile information and displays a Likely LMI badge.
  • Check if Account is Likely Low-to-Moderate Income (LMI) (COLL COND LM) Collection Class Control - Collection Condition algorithm type: Enables collection processing to consider LMI status when evaluating applicable collection criteria.

This feature helps utilities reduce manual effort by maintaining current LMI affordability information in the cloud service, supporting eligibility processes and more informed customer interactions.

Steps to enable and configure

To enable and configure this feature, refer to the Understanding Customer Profiles section of the Administrative User Guide for more information.   

Additionally, system administrators should review and determine which user groups should be granted access to one or more of these application services:
