Simplified Setup of Portal Configurable Parameters

Previously, a portal may have been designed to make use of configurable parameters defined on a corresponding master configuration record. These parameters are set up by customers and are used by the portal's user interface. For example, setting up defaults and valid values. Populating these parameters using the master configuration portal was disconnected from the corresponding portal definition record.

A new Configuration tab was added to the portal maintenance page to fully maintain the master configuration record if any is associated with the portal. A new portal option Master Configuration business object is used to associate a portal with the master configuration business objects that defines its additional parameters. The new tab appears only if such an option exists.

NOTE: The master configuration record can still be maintained separately on the master configuration portal, but it is easier to set up a portal's additional parameters on the portal maintenance page itself.

Allowing the portal's master configuration to be reviewed and maintained on the portal maintenance page itself makes the additional setup simpler, easier and more intuitive.
