Automated Measurement Compression

Oracle automatically runs the compress measurement partition batch job for measurement related entities, every month, on desired domains and schemas. You are no longer required to run ILM Automation - Measurement compression batch every month.

This manages the overall application performance, saves storage costs for customers with running compression on time, and moves desired data from Advance Compression to Hybrid Columnar Compression.

Steps to enable and configure

ILM Measurement Compression job will run internally (like the ILM Add Partition job) by Oracle starting with the 26.10 release. You are required to run the measurement compression job prior to taking this release. Measurement tables partitions must be compressed before upgrading to 26.10 in all Test and Production environments. Failure to do so may have performance impact to the online application following the upgrade to the 26.10 release.
