Additional Data Insights Available Through GraphQL APIs

The following data sets are available through the GraphQL APIs:

  • Bill Forecast: Provides the forecast of customer energy consumption and costs for the in-progress billing period.
  • Disaggregation: Provides a breakdown of customer electricity or gas use into consumption categories, which can be used to view annual or bill breakdowns.
  • Tips: Provides a view of information about a customer's prioritized energy saving tips and allows for updating the action a customer has taken for each tip.

This update supplements existing APIs, including usage, billing, account, premise, and interval costs.

Tips And Considerations

GraphQL API provides access to core utility customer data including energy usage and additional insights related to a utility account. The Oracle Utilities Delivery Team will work with you to identify which data specifications are applicable to your situation. To query the Opower GraphQL API, you need the base URL and an API access token. Oracle Utility's environment is multi-tenant and each tenant represents a client. Each multi-tenant has its own URL. Utility Scoped or Account Scoped Access tokens are required in order to access the Graph QL APIs and data. Scope management is also defined for managing access to data by use case or partner. See the Accessing the GraphQL APIs Using Utility-Scoped Tokens section of the Opower Integration Hub Product Overview.
