Act on REST and Object Function-Based Custom Smart Actions in Mobile

Use the Smart Actions framework to create headless custom actions for CX Sales Mobile. Use REST-based actions to update field values. Use object function-based actions to perform more sophisticated updates to sales records or to open external links. View the same actions on List and Edit pages as well.

This feature can increase productivity by using smart actions to perform sales workflows like repricing opportunities or updating revenue line dates.

Also note the following about what CX Sales Mobile supports and doesn't support with regard to smart actions:
  • UI-based smart actions aren't supported.
  • Smart actions that have a custom type are available.
  • System-type smart actions won't appear.

Here are the high-level steps to set up this feature:

  1. Select or create a sandbox that has Application Composer as an active tool.
  2. In Application Composer, navigate to Smart Actions.
  3. Create a new REST-based or object function-based action. See the related topics for more information on creating these actions.
  4. In Availability, select Mobile as one of the applications where the smart action will appear.
  5. Complete the remaining steps to create the smart action.
  6. Publish the sandbox according to your company's business requirements.
