Import Future-Dated Employees from HCM

Parameters control whether you can import employees with future hire dates from HCM as participants. The parameters apply to Run All Participant Processes.

As a compensation analyst, you want the on-boarding experience for new hires to be smooth. For example, participants can see their compensation packages on the very first day of work. Employees may also be eligible for draws or guarantees as new hires. Employees are paid from Incentive Compensation and there are times that the payroll cut-off date is before the employee's official hire date. Import employees who are future dated several days in advance. Then you can prepare and review their compensation packages before they start.

Before you start

In the Participant Parameters region of Manage Parameters, set the Enable Import of HCM Future Dated Employees parameter to Yes. Then enter the number of days in the Maximum Number of Days Prior to Hire Date parameter. You can change these settings at a later time to disable it or modify the number of days.

Note: Select a reasonable maximum number of days. More days means more employees are imported, and some may decide not to join.
