Create a Quote

After the quoting feature is enabled, while working on an opportunity or account, salespeople can create, update, duplicate, and version quotes.

They can add and remove products and change pricing. When they're satisfied with a quote, they can save it and then mark that quote as active. When salespeople create, edit, or version a quote, they navigate to the integrated quoting application, Oracle CPQ. The application carries the opportunity ID and account ID into Oracle CPQ, and when they save the quote, Oracle CPQ creates the new quote. When they return to the sales application, the newly created quote displays there, associated with the opportunity or account it relates to.

Here's how to create a quote:

  1. Navigate to Redwood Sales > Opportunities.
  2. On the opportunities list page, use the Ask Oracle bar to search and select Create Quote.

  3. Enter transaction details.
  4. Enter product details.
  5. Enter customer details.
  6. Enter pricing details.
  7. Save your quote.
