Create an Express Report
You can create an express report either from scratch or by copying an existing report and editing the copy. If you're an administrator, you can share the reports you create with your organization. If you share reports, each individual sees only the information on the data they can access.

Open the Express Reports work area.
You can do so using a bookmarked URL, by clicking on the icon on the home page, or by making a selection in the Navigator.
- Click Create Report.
- In the Create Report drawer, you have two options:

Create the report with AI assistance.
The AI determines the most suitable report type for you. Report types are created by the administrator and specify the subject area and fields that the report can contain.
- Click the AI Assist switch.

Enter your prompt.
Note:Be specific and enter prompts consistent with the subject areas and report types available in your organization.
For example, the configuration provided by Oracle provides a useful report when you enter: "Show me closed opportunities by sales stage for Q2", but doesn't provide a useful report for the query: "Show me opportunities with overdue tasks". That's because tasks aren't included in any of the subject areas.

Click Create.
The agent takes a few minutes to generate the report.
- If the report isn't what you expected:
- Click Cancel and reword your prompt.
- Edit the report preferences manually.
- Create the report without AI assist:
- Leave the AI Assist switch in the off position.

Enter a name and description for your report.

Select the report type.

Click Create.
The application displays an initial report that includes the columns and filters present in the report type you selected. You can edit the report to your specifications.

- You can edit the report parameters and add a chart:

Click the Preferences button to specify the columns, filters, and groups for your report. For details, see Edit Express Report Parameters in Preferences.
- Click Add Chart to add a chart to the report. You must have at least one group added to your report to build the chart. For details, see the topic Add a Chart to Your Report.

- When you're satisfied, save your report.
- If you're a sales administrator, you can share express reports with others in the sales organization. For details, see the topic Share Express Reports with the Sales Organization.

To add the chart from the report to your personal sales dashboard, you can use the personalization feature described in the topic Personalize Your Sales Dashboard. (A dashboard you personalize is only visible to you.)
