Set Up Authentication for Your Application

For your application to run properly, you must first set up system-to-system authentication between your Partner Finder application and Oracle CX Sales.

To complete the tasks in this topic, you must be signed in to Oracle Visual Builder with a valid developer or administrator account.

To set up authentication, perform the following tasks:

  1. Open your Partner Finder application in Oracle Visual Builder.

  2. Click the Service Connections icon.

    You will see two services listed:

    • crmElasticSearch

    • crmRestApi

  3. For each service, complete these same steps:

    1. Click a service.

    2. Click the Servers tab.

    3. Click the pencil icon for the listed server.

    4. In the Instance URL field, update the host name using the CX Sales instance.

    5. Ensure Allow anonymous access to the Service Connection Infrastructure is checked.

    6. Ensure Authentication for logged-in users is set to Oracle Cloud Account.

    7. Ensure Authentication for anonymous users is set to Basic.

    8. Click the Enter user name and password icon by the user name field.

      1. In the user name field, enter the user name of APPID user. You created the APPID user name when setting up the APPID user. For more information, refer to the Set Up the APPID User topic.

        Caution: Don't enter your own named account in the user name field.
      2. In the Password field, enter the Oracle CX Sales password for the APPID user.

    9. Ensure Connection type is set to Always use proxy irrespective of CORS support.

    10. Click Save.

  4. Complete these steps for both services.
