Set Up Global Actions to Launch AI Agents in List Pages and from the Sales Dashboard
Here's how to create smart actions that salespeople can use to launch AI Agents from the Ask Oracle search bar in the sales dashboard and in list pages for sales objects.
-
This feature is available starting with update 26A.
-
For information on how to create and publish AI agents see the topic Deploy Sales AI Agents using RAG tools.
-
Enter into a sandbox that's enabled for Application Composer.
-
In Application Composer, click Smart Actions, available under Common Setup heading.
-
On the Smart Actions page, click Create.
Application Composer displays the Create Smart Action guided process in a new browser tab.
-
On the Kind of Action page:
-
Click the Global action option to indicate that you're creating an action for the Sales Dashboard.
-
Click Continue.
-
-
On the Basic Details page:
-
In the Name field, enter a display name for the action.
-
The Action ID field automatically generates a value based on your entry. You can update the ID with another unique value.
This value must be unique across all smart actions.
-
Click Continue.
-
-
On the Availability page:
-
In the Application field, Sales is the only option and it's selected automatically. Global smart actions aren't available in Service.
-
In the Security section Roles field, you can select the roles that can view the action.
If you don't select a role, then the action is available to all roles.
-
In the Context Section, specify where the AI agent will be available.
The AI agent can be made available in list pages for sales objects and in the sales dashboard.
-
To restrict agent availability to specific locations, turn off the All Objects and Dashboards option and add the objects where the AI agent will be available.
Entering sales dashboard and opportunity, for example, makes the agent available in the Ask Oracle bar in the opportunity list page and in the sales dashboard.
- To make the AI agent available in list pages for all sales objects and in the sales dashboard, turn on All Objects and Dashboards option.
-
-
Click Continue.
-
-
On the Action Type page:
-
In the Type field, select AI Agent.
- From the Agent Code list, select the published AI agent.
-
Click Continue.
-
-
Leave the Confirmation Message page blank and click Continue.
-
On the Review and Submit page, review the action's configuration and click Submit when ready.
