How do I enable analytics tabs for object landing pages?

The analytics on your object pages don't show by default. Administrators must enable the feature before they can add analytics to object pages. This sample procedure uses the Opportunities object landing page as an example of how to enable the analytics tab for your sales object. The steps are the same for all object landing pages.

You enable an analytics tab on an object's landing page, or on the Analytics work area itself. Here's how you specify what users see on the Navigator and in the Springboard area for your sales object.

  1. Sign in as an administrator and create and enter a sandbox with the Structure tool.
  2. Navigate to Tools, then Structure.
  3. From Sales, click Opportunities.
  4. From the analytics row, change the value for visible column to "Yes."
  5. With the Navigation Configuration tab selected, you can configure what appears on the navigator and springboard. Just click the item or group name to edit.
    • Select Yes in the Show on Navigator list.
    • Select Yes in the Show on Springboard list.
  6. You can also select an icon by clicking the magnified glass icon.
  7. Click Save and Close.

Analytics tabs are blank until you add content to them.

Tip: You can also add analytics tabs on an object's details page (edit page). To do this, use Application Composer.
