What recipients are added by the Send Email smart action from Oracle Sales?

When you use the Send Email smart action in Sales in the Redwood UX, the application auto-populates recipients based on the record’s related people:

  • To: All contacts associated with the current sales record, such as contacts linked to the account, opportunity, and so on) are added as primary recipients. This ensures the email is addressed to the customer contacts by default.
  • CC: All internal resources (team members and users) associated with the record are copied on the email (placed in CC). These resources could be the owner or sales team members on that record, allowing your team to be kept in the loop.
  • BCC: By default, the BCC field isn't automatically populated. You can manually add BCC recipients if needed, but no addresses are entered by the application for BCC by default.
Note: You can always add or remove recipients in any of these fields manually before sending your email. The auto-filled contacts and resources are meant to save time, but you've full control to adjust who should receive the email.
