Where can I find information about integrating Microsoft Teams and opportunities in Oracle Sales for Redwood?

Oracle offers a sample solution that you can use to implement a collaboration solution integrated with Microsoft Teams that works consistently across Oracle Fusion applications. You can create a team in Microsoft Teams for business objects like opportunities. Users can view the related conversations within the Oracle Sales application.

Here's where you find out how to set up the integration of Microsoft Teams and opportunities:

  1. Go to Oracle Fusion Applications Downloads, and then click Oracle Fusion Applications Social Network Integration.
  2. On the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud page, accept the license agreement, use the default Generic value in the Platforms attribute, then click Download.
  3. Open the Oracle_SSN_DLM_09111833.exe file that you just downloaded.
  4. Follow the instructions in the Oracle Download Manager dialog, verify that the status says Complete, then click Open Destination. Download Manager takes you to the folder where you downloaded the file in Windows Explorer.
  5. In Windows Explorer, use the 7-Zip File Manager to extract V1044883-01.zip.
  6. Use the instructions in the FusionApps_SocialIntegration_InstallGuide.pdf that's in the compressed file to finish the installation.
  7. Test: your installation:
    • Open an opportunity in Sales, then confirm that you can click Microsoft Teams and open the dialog.
    • Click Open Microsoft Teams in the dialog, confirm that Teams opens and that you can share the summary with other team members.
    • Add some messages to your discussion in Teams.
    • Go back to the opportunity in Sales, click Refresh on the dialog, then confirm that the dialog displays your messages.
