Why don't I see any products and product groups when I try to add them to leads and opportunities?

If you don't see any products or product groups when you try to add them to leads or opportunities in Sales in the Redwood user experience, the application administrator may not have enabled products and product groups for Adaptive Search.

Here's how a setup user can enable these and other objects for Adaptive Search:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, open the Configure Adaptive Search task:

    • Offering: Sales

    • Functional Area: Sales Foundation

    • Show: All Tasks

    • Task: Configure Adaptive Search

  2. On the Configure Adaptive Search page, click the Setup tab.

  3. On the Setup tab, Quick subtab, select Product and Product Groups and any other objects you may want to enable.

  4. Click Publish.

    Your action runs an indexing process and an hourly index refresh for the objects you selected. You can monitor the progress of the indexing process on the Monitor tab. The process can take several minutes to complete, depending on your data volume.
