Activate a Guidance

After you complete creating the guidance, you must activate it to make it available for use.

  1. Navigate to the Guidance Setup page. Navigator > Configuration > Application Composer > Guidance Setup
  2. On the Guidance Setup page, click Actions (three dots) and select Activate.
  3. In the Activate guidance? dialog box, click Yes.

The application validates the guidance logic and informs you if there are any basic errors. For example, if you forgot to link one of the steps, the guidance won't activate.

Important: Guidances get assigned a rank at creation. The rank determines the order in which the guidances are evaluated and applied. The guidances are applied in ascending order to handle cases when the opportunity selection criteria overlap. Those with a smaller rank number get priority over those with higher numbers.
