Add the Time Zone Field to Contacts Pages

You can add the Time Zone field to the Contacts create and edit pages, so that salespeople can specify the customer contact's time zone.

  1. Sign in as a user with the Sales Administrator job role.
  2. Ensure you're working in an active sandbox.
  3. Navigate to Configuration > Application Composer.
  4. Navigate to the Contact object and click Pages.
  5. Duplicate the page where you want the time zone field to appear. For example, duplicate the Create Contact page standard layout and edit the copy.
  6. In the Creation Layout page, Configure Detail Form fields region, move Time Zone from the Available Fields to the Selected Fields window.
  7. Save your work.
  8. Navigate to the Create Contact page in Sales > Contacts. Verify that the Time Zone field appears in the Create Contact page.
  9. Publish the sandbox according to your company's business practices.
