Enable Your Add-in for Government Tenant Privileges

Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) is a Platform as a Service built on the Azure Commercial infrastructure. Microsoft 365 GCC is certified to FedRAMP High standards for cloud systems.

It meets the flowdown requirements of DFARS 7012 as of February 2021, all of which enable customers handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD) to leverage the platform. See the Microsoft 365 for Government web page to learn more.

If your organization is on Microsoft 365 GCC, the add-in will be configured considering the GCC tenancy requirements. However, you need to indicate it in the add-in setup page.

Here’s how you mark GCC tenancy for your add-in:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, use the Manage Microsoft 365 page:
    • Offering: Sales
    • Functional Area: Integrations
    • Task: Manage Microsoft 365
  2. On the left-navigation pane on the Manage Microsoft 365 task page, click the Outlook tab.
  3. Under the Set Up Outlook Integration section, select the Government Tenant check box.
  4. Click Save and Close to save your changes and close the page.
