Overview of Sales Catalog Usages

Each catalog is associated with an attribute called a "usage" that specifies the application areas where it's in use. Typically, it's the Base usage that you use for your catalog. It's the one predefined for the sales applications such as opportunities and leads.

Oracle also supplies a few other usages that are described here.

Used for the sales applications, such as forecasting, territories, opportunities, and leads.

Help Desk HCM

Used for Human Capital Management Cloud.

Loyalty

Used for Loyalty Cloud.

Opportunity Management Alternate Catalog

Used as an alternate for opportunities, for example for Outlook integration.

Partner Management

Used for partner management.
