Create Work Order Charges

You can use the Work Order Charges Search page in the Redwood UX to access the Work Order Charges header. Here, you can create a new work order debrief header, and view service request and work order details.

Create a Work Order Debrief Transaction

To create new work order debrief transactions from the Work Order Charges search page:
  1. Click Create Charge. This opens the Work Order Charges header page.

  2. Confirm the required information for the Work Order, Customer, Asset, and Technician sections:
    Required Fields Default Value

    Document Type

    Defaults to Service Work Order when the page is opened from the Work Order Charges page or the B2B Service Work Order page.

    Document Number

    No default value

    Customer

    Defaults from B2B work order.

    Account Number

    No default value

    Bill-to Address

    No default value

    Business Unit

    Default from the B2B work order business unit.

    No default value for third-party work orders.

    Serial Number (required for serialized assets)

    No default value

    Cost Organization

    Defaults from the operating organization of the asset on the Debrief/Charges header.

    For Preventive Maintenance B2B work orders, the default value is from the maintenance work order that's already created.

    Technician

    Defaults from the B2B work order, if one exists.

  3. Click Create and Close to create only the debrief header.
  4. Click Create and Continue to save the debrief header and continue adding charge lines for the work order.

View Service Request and Work Order Details

After you create the work order header you can access detailed information by viewing the associated service request and work orders:
  1. Navigate to the service request associated with the work order by clicking the View Service Request button in the header region.

  2. Open the associated detail page by clicking the Document Number link for the work order.

  3. Open the associated detail page by clicking the Asset link for the work order.

  4. Access the Service Request Charges page by clicking the Review Service Request Charges button.

  5. View a summary of total charges and the currency in the Charges table.

Note: You can add and modify a work order’s descriptive flexfields until you've posted your charges.
