Activate Academic Periods

Activate an academic period after you complete the required setup.

Note: As of 22D you can use existing self-paced periods, but you can’t create self-paced periods. You'll be able to create self-paced periods in a future release. Holiday periods also aren't available as of 22D.

Before you can set an academic period to active, you must complete this setup:

  1. Details tab
    • Start and end date.
    • Name and code.
    • Period type and weeks of instruction.
  2. Period Attribute Dates tab: All attributes must have a calculated or manual date.
  3. Ownership tab: Assign at least one institution.
  4. Period Hierarchy tab: Associating an academic period with an academic reporting period.
