Buildings and Facilities

Create buildings and facilities to use when scheduling course sections and exams.

Access the Buildings page: From Student Central, click Search and search for Manage Buildings.

Access the Facilities page: From Student Central, click Search and search for Manage Facilities.

Buildings

You must create buildings before you create facilities.

Here are some things that you can do:

  • Assign person contacts and location addresses to buildings.
  • View the facilities that are part of the building.
  • Assign ownership of a building to a campus.

Facilities

A facility is uniquely identified by the facility code that, is generated using the building code and the facility room number.

Here are some things that you can do:

  • Assign person contacts to facilities and view location addresses for associated buildings.

  • Assign facility ownership to a campus and to academic organizations within that campus.

  • Use blackout dates to indicate that a facility is unavailable and should not be scheduled for particular days and times.

Rapid Implementation

You can use Rapid Implementation to create and load buildings and facilities. Use these tasks in the Setup and Maintenance work area, Student Management offering:

  • Create Facilities in Spreadsheet
  • Upload Academic Structures in Spreadsheet
