How does tax get calculated on subscriptions?

Tax gets populated on a subscription based on a value from Accounts Receivable. It displays in the Estimated Tax number field on the subscription summary page.

Estimated tax is always recalculated based on certain factors and you can't populate it manually, like, for example, through import. Additionally, the Estimated Tax field isn't exposed automatically. You need to enable it using Application Composer.
