Subscription Tasks and Actions

Here are the different actions you can perform when subscriptions are in various statuses, along with the situations when these actions are possible:

Validate

  • Draft

Validates the subscription.

You can approve a subscription only after it's validated.

Cancel

  • Draft

Cancels updates.

Delete

  • Draft

Deletes the subscription from the application.

Activate

  • Draft

  • Under Amendment

Activates the subscription and sends the subscription to the activation hierarchy, depending on the setup.

Withdraw

  • Pending Approval

Withdraws the subscription from the approval queue.

Renew

  • Active

  • Expired

Renews a subscription and moves it to draft.

Reprice

  • Draft

Reprices a subscription and coverage lines when a new price is calculated for a new billing schedule.

Generate Billing Schedule

  • Draft

Generates a new billing schedule.

Duplicate Subscription

  • Draft

  • Active

  • Under Amendment

Creates a copy of the subscription.

Apply Hold

  • Active

Puts billing on hold. Putting the subscription billing on hold has no effect on revenue recognition.

Email

  • Draft

  • Active

  • Expired

  • Closed

  • Canceled

  • Under Amendment

  • On Hold

Opens the Email Subscriptions dialog box to create and send emails with attachments.

Note: Expired product lines are sent to Accounts Receivable, but On Hold lines aren't sent to Accounts Receivable.
