How You Capture Failure Data

Capture failure data for all maintenance work orders until they're closed. You can enter the failure data to be captured on the Edit Work Order page and Maitenance Dispatch list.

Capture Failure Data on the Edit Work Order Page

  1. Use Manage Maintenance work orders task to search the required work order.
  2. Click the work order link to go to the Edit Work Order page.
  3. Use Capture Failure button to go to the Capture Failure tab.
  4. On the Failure Capture page, click Add Failure button. On the Add Failure UI, add these details:
    • Enter a failure code.
    • You can progressively capture these details until work order is closed:
      • Cause Code
      • Resolution code
      • Failed Item Number or Failed Asset Number
      • Operation sequence
      • Comments
  5. Click Save and Close.

Capture Failure Data on the Maintenance Dispatch List

  1. Use the Review Maintenance Dispatch List task to search the required work order operations.
  2. Click the Capture Failure icon to navigate to the Capture Failure tab for entering the failure data of the work order asset.
  3. Use Capture Failure button to go to the Capture Failure tab.
  4. On the Failure Capture page, click Add Failure button. On the Add Failure UI, add these details:
    • Enter a failure code.
    • You can progressively capture these details until work order is closed:
      • Cause Code
      • Resolution code
      • Failed Item Number or Failed Asset Number
      • Operation sequence
      • Comments
  5. Click Save and Close.
