Can I use the sources defined for other subledgers in Cost Accounting?

Some of the sources created for the Receipt Accounting subledger are also available for Cost Accounting. Similarly, some of the sources created for the Cost Accounting subledger are also available for Receipt Accounting. You can use the Manage Subledger Transaction Objects page to confirm if the source that you're looking for is associated with the event class.

When searching for the sources in the Mapping Set or the Description Rule page in the Cost Accounting subledger, ensure that you select Receipt Accounting to search for these sources. Likewise, when searching in the Mapping Set or the Description Rule page in the Receipt Accounting subledger, select Cost Accounting to search for these sources.

These are few examples of sources that are created for Cost Accounting but also available in Receipt Accounting for select event types:

  • Inventory Category

  • Item Sales Account

  • Source Sub-inventory

  • Transfer Order Destination Indicator

  • Unit of Measure

These are few examples of sources that are created in Receipt Accounting but also available in Cost Accounting for select event types:

  • Purchase Order Accrual Account

  • PO Number

  • Deliver to Business Unit

  • Destination Type Code

  • Purchase Order Charge Account
