What if a source is available but the mapping set isn't working with that source?

In some cases, although a source is associated with an event class, it might not be relevant for a specific event type.

For example, a sub-inventory code is associated with the event class, but the sub-inventory isn't stamped on a specific event type of that event class. You can identify whether the selected source is stamped for the specific transaction by reviewing the Accounting Event Diagnostics report.

To enable the diagnostics report:

  1. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, select the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management offering.

  2. Select the Cost Accounting functional area.

  3. Search for and select the Manage Subledger Accounting Profile Options task.

  4. Search for the profile with the Profile Display Name as Diagnostics Enabled.

  5. Add a row with these information and click Save.

    • Profile Level: User

    • User Name: User name of the user who runs the Create Accounting process.

    • Profile Value: Yes

  6. Now, run the Create Accounting process.

  7. Run the Accounting Event Diagnostic Report process and download the diagnostics report.

Note: Set the profile value to No after you download the report. Keeping the profile value as yes will lead to poor performance of the Create Accounting process.
