Set Up Kit Items for Transfer Orders

Define kit items in the Product Information Management work area.

Complete these steps to create kit items for transfer orders:

From the Product Information Management work area, select Create Item from the task menu

  1. From the Product Information Management work area, select Create Item from the task menu.
  2. On the Specification tab of the Create Item page, define the kit item with these Inventory, Sales and Order Management, and Manufacturing item attribute settings.

    Pick Components Manufacturing > Item Structure section Yes
  3. On the Structures tab of the Create Item page, create the kit item structure. An item structure is required for kit items. You must use the Primary item structure name when creating a new item structure for a kit item.

  4. Use the Associations tab of the Create Item page to associate the kit item to the inventory organizations.
